At the end of July, a massive storm swept across Lithuania, plunging us into darkness and bringing us back to simpler times. With the electricity out, our daily routines were upended, forcing us to slow down and reconnect with the basics of survival.

Surprisingly, I felt a deep sense of happiness—this unexpected "vacation" freed us from our usual digital distractions and allowed us to rediscover the joy of simple, grounding activities. We spent our days by candlelight, drawing closer to nature, and embracing the slower, more mindful pace of life.

For a whole week, we lived like our ancestors, without screens or modern conveniences, finding new ways to fill the silence and appreciating the sense of community that emerged in our village. Was this experience a struggle or a gift? Watch to find out!
