On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of Villa Serenella, a place acquired by the Antonian Maronite Order to house St. Isaiah's College, a sacred oratorio narrating the life and teachings of St. Isaiah the monk (365-440) was performed as a world premiere.
The Oratorio, titled “Mar Scia'ya, St. Isaiah, (the monk) life and teachings,” is composed by M° Fr. Fadi Tawk, on an Arabic text by Fr. Abbot Boulos TANNOURI. Conducting the “Orchestra delle Cento Città” is the rector of the College, M° Fr. Youssef CHEDID.
Dr. Maria Makhoul on the Qanun (tabular citarra) along with the orchestra. The “Choir of the Maronite Colleges” in Rome is joined by the “Giuseppe Verdi Choir of Rome”.
