I paid round about 40€ for the bus ride. I bought the ticket in person when I visited the central bus station. The bus station is basically in front go the Central Train Station of Sofia but at the same time next to it. First I was afraid I would not find it but it is really easy and close to the center of the city, so do not worry about it. There also ways to book online but I rather buy in person, just to make sure it is a real ticket I get.
