14. SOUNDBITE (English) Clint Carney, Volunteer, Survivors of Torture International:
"Something that happens almost every night is we have injuries from people who jump across and jump from the wall on the Tijuana side. And it's about an 18 to 22 foot wall in different sections. And people consistently, as soon as they hit the ground, they have sprained ankles, busted knees, they fall and hit their hands and they have sprained wrists or broken wrists. We see all kinds of injuries. We see scrapes on the front of their body, their hands are bloodied from scraping down the wall as they slide down. So we see injuries. We kind of triage and give some first aid here. And if we see a serious injury that needs an ambulance and a hospital medical attention, we call the Border Patrol and they'll pick someone up and they'll get them to a hospital as quickly as possible."
