PART EIGHT - Havana, Nassau, back to Key West

After two fantastic weeks exploring and experiencing Cuba, both in Havana and Vinales, it was time to go home. On my last night in Havana, while roaming around, I came across a live performance of Broadway's musical 'Cats’ performed outside on the Malecon waterfront in Spanish. In a communist/socialist country, besides all healthcare, entertainment was free! Met a girl from Peru and we're still FB friends. The next morning I flew back to the springboard country Bahamas for two nights and went scuba diving there on my 53rd birthday. Then, bouncing to Atlanta first, I got back home to Key West, Florida, just a short 90 miles away from Cuba. What an amazing and enlightening experience! It was still slightly illegal to go there for Americans then, but not by Cuba, by us. Then President Obama opened it easier to visit our neighbors. It's a popular Caribbean tourist destination to the world and they love tourists from around the world, and luckily I was one of them.
