The Last Blade playthrough (Neo Geo CDZ, 1CC)

Playthrough with Moriya. I could never get into Samurai Shodown and wrote off Last Blade for a long time because I thought it was the same type of thing, but boy was I wrong about it. It plays more like KoF than SS, if that makes any sense.

However this particular port sucks because of the ridiculous amount of loading it does for EVERYTHING. You've got a load time just to display the stage intro, then a load time to load the characters... once that finishes you'd think you're about to play, but no, hold on, turns out that load time was just to load the character's intro pose, so then you've got another load time to load the rest of the sprites. And then you've got load times between rounds as well! I have no idea why it needs to load between rounds, it happens on almost all fights aside from ones where there is pre-fight dialogue. The load times ruin this port and remember, I'm playing this on my Neo Geo CDZ -so it'd be even worse on a regular NGCD console.

This game does not have an option to play the intro or how to play from the main menu, you have to go into the options menu to view them instead. I show them at the end of this video.
