It's #HeritageTreasures day and we're celebrating the under appreciated, but hugely important, Ancient Pollarded and Coppiced Willow Trees 🌳 These trees are common place in wetland landscapes, such as the Ancholme Valley and thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund we were able to survey the Pollarded and Coppiced Willows of Fishlake and Sykehouse, Doncaster. Take a look at the video to learn more about these trees and the management technique of Coppicing and Pollarding :)
