THERE FOR YOU ~ Recently an artist friend reached out to me to tell me a woman had contacted her about one of her songs. Her husband was a nurse on the front lines and contracted the virus. He passed away suddenly right before their 34th wedding anniversary and they had to say goodbye over FaceTime.

How can one even comprehend hearing those words?

I don’t save people’s lives. I don’t run into chaos. I don’t head toward the flames.

I am grateful for my friend who wrote that song. It’s a beautiful one. I’m glad that a small amount of light could find an opening to penetrate an incredible amount of grief.

It’s funny where creative sparks come from. It’s funny how some turn out to be dead ends, and some make it to the finish line to be received in times of grief, sadness, and even joy.

I guess all we can control are the gifts we have that propel the world forward to a better existence and to joy.

I wrote a song on a walk listening to birds. I had some talented friends help me make it better. I put a video together that is in line with the message.
