Varner Elementary teacher, Tony Tesmer, earned national recognition for his outstanding leadership of the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program at Varner Elementary—an initiative that engages fathers and father figures as positive role models in schools. The program brings millions of male volunteers into classrooms across thousands of campuses nationwide to underscore the importance of education, enhance school security, and reduce bullying.

The event served as a heartfelt recognition of the time, effort, and positive presence these men contributed to our school community.
