1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment competes in the 2023 Annual Calvary Competition

Let's congratulate the Troopers from the Horse Cavalry Detachment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos, TX, competed and placed in the 2023 National Cavalry Competition at Fort Reno, Oklahoma. Riders participated in field jumping, mounted pistol, mounted saber, and horsemanship.

SSG Jammer placed 3rd in the Novice Level of Mounted Pistols 🔫
SPC Ohran competed in the Novice Level and placed 3rd in Military Horsemanship 🐎
SFC Minor competed in the Advanced Level and won 1st in Field Jumping and 2nd in Mounted Sabers ⬆️⚔️
SPC Allen placed 3rd in the Intermediate Level of Mounted Pistols 🔫
The Wagon Team of SPC Tingle, SPC Mendez, and Doc won the wagon competition 🥇🫏🫏
