I have had a few artists go through an in-studio tattoo apprenticeship with me over the past several years. In this video, I'll tell you exactly what I teach them and how I know when they're ready to work on clients.

The most important things you need to learn going into a tattoo apprenticeship are:
1. How to draw tattoos
2. How to tattoo safely and prevent infections when tattooing clients
3. Proper tattooing technique

I ended up having to go through multiple tattoo apprenticeships to learn how to tattoo. Back in the day, learning directly from an artist in a studio was the only way to learn. And because of that, artists would usually drip out information slowly to keep you working at their studio.

Today, things are different. While I still teach people in-person, I follow the exact same format and lesson plan that I use to teach students how to tattoo online quickly without all the extra busywork.
