Prominent Malayalam script writer Suresh Babu has come up with a special family caricature of Marquee actor Mohanlal.
The picture features Mohanlal and his family of wife Suchithra, son Pranav, daughter Vismaya and his cuddly pet dogs and cats. All are given equal prominence.
Suresh has detailed about the picture in his recent video titled ‘Mohanlal Oru Avasa Vyoohoam’, the literal meaning of which in English is Mohanlal an ecosystem.
Recently, the actor bought a new flat in Kochi. The interior works were completed. Soon after that came a call from him: “Suresh don’t we need a family caricature?”
“Lalettaa (as he is fondly called by his fans) … Hadn’t we done it, already?” enquired Suresh.
Then pat came the response: Man, that was all done six to seven years ago and now my kids have all grown up.
That dialogue silenced Suresh.
The world knows this great actor’s love for his fellow humans but little is known about his love, care and concern for animals, birds and even insects. This has not come under discussion anywhere.
“I’ve seen a Lalettan who doesn’t open the tap if he sees an ant falling into the washbasin and who will open it only after taking that ant out and putting it at some safe place….
In film Shikar, I have seen Mohanlal, who forgets his crown and sceptre if he sees forests. When he writhes in shoulder pain and when Ayrveda physicians try to heat the oil for treatment inside the hospital room, he would say “let’s go to the terrace because if we heat the oil inside the room, the smell won’t go away from there so easily ... This will inconvenience the person who comes there for treatment next…I also know that Mohanlal…,” recollects Suresh, highlighting the compassionate side of the super star’s nature.
