(26 May 2017) On May 22nd 2017 a witness to the explosion at the Manchester Arena in northwest England says she narrowly missed becoming one of the attacker's victims, being just behind an exit door as the bomb went off.
Bethany Keeling from Keithley in West Yorkshire described how she saw a flash of light, followed by debris and a person being thrown across the floor.
Manchester Police and the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, earlier confirmed the explosion was caused by a lone male attacker who died in the blast.

Victoria train station in central Manchester was closed on May 23rd following the attack at Manchester Arena, adjacent to the station, the previous night.
Forensic investigators were seen gathering evidence at and around the station, including a walkway that connects the station to the concert venue.

Police raided a house in the Fallowfield district of south Manchester on May 23rd as part of their investigation into the concert blast in Manchester.
Just after 1230 local time (1130 GMT), locals heard a large explosion, then watched as police took away a man, believed by witnesses to be in his mid-to-late 20s.
Local resident Neville Edwards described what many saw and explained the explosion was caused when police gained entry into the house by blowing off the front doors.
He also said the house was owned by an elderly couple up until 12-18 months ago and that his friends who lived near the property said it was being rented out.
Manchester police did not name the man who was led away.

Floral tributes and messages of support could be seen across the city, with some shop windows adorned with "We Love MCR," an abbreviation for the city.
Businesses around the nearby Arndale Shopping Centre prepared to open as normal, while residents made their way to work.
People also continued to lay flowers at a makeshift tribute site in St Ann's Square, some still visibly upset by May 22nd's attack.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited Manchester children's hospital on May 25th, following the suicide bomb attack at a concert in the city.
Medics at the hospital have been treating attack victims, including many children.

Police officers were seen carrying bags of evidence from a property that was raided in the Moss Side area of Manchester on May 26th, as the investigation continued into May 22nd's bombing that killed at least 22 people.
Byron Gibbs, the owner of a shop next door, told British broadcaster Sky News that suspected attacker Salman Abedi used to come into his shop.
A separate raid took place in a pizzeria in St Helens, Merseyside.
Landlord Asit Chaudhury told Sky News he did not run the business 'Lorenzo Pizzas', but owned the building it was in.
He said he handed over unpaid bills from the property to the police.
Chaudhury said police told him the raid on his property in St Helens had "something to do with bombings in Manchester".
