Coinciding with the Bluebell’s music festival, the bluebell would run two late evening services up the line while rubbing shoulders with two Golden Arrow runs with the later arriving back at 11PM! The sole surviving O1 No 65 would be in charge of hauling the Pullman stock while 34059 ‘Sir Archibald Sinclair would haul the two evening public services.

We start the video off at Kingscote before making our way down the line to catch 80151 on Set B while running to the intensive timetable they had for the music festival. The music festival itself would be situated at Horsted Keynes car park where many local bands were invited to perform their own material or perform their own covers of popular songs. In total they would be 8 round public trips up the line. 65 would also run the Wealden Rambler before the cloud cleared and the sun came out just for sunset.

Just a small side note here that I originally had planned on giving the Bluebell a rest and had planned to film at the Spa Valley Railway for the return of 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park’ for their Bulleid Pacific event however upon hearing they cancelled it due to SKIP failing, the decision was made to come to the Bluebell to film the late evening stuff as it’s not so often we have late night running here.
