Panaji: AAP MLA Capt Venzy Viegas strongly dismissed allegations of cross-voting during the Zilla Panchayat chairperson elections, stating that the Aam Aadmi Party has not defected to the BJP and remains the most credible anti-BJP force in Goa.

Responding to claims branding AAP as the BJP’s “B team,” Viegas said those making such allegations lack credibility, adding that Goa knows who actually took money to defect. He recalled that during the Speaker’s election, AAP supported Altone D’Costa, clearly voting against the BJP, despite ideological differences with the Congress.

Calling the B-team allegations “old politics,” Viegas said the people of Goa have seen the truth and he does not wish to dwell further on baseless accusations. He asserted that whenever there is an opportunity to defeat the BJP, AAP will work towards defeating the BJP.
