Happy Lipedema Awareness Month!
After years of research, we are thrilled to announce that the U.S. Standard of Care guidelines for lipedema is published! Authors include Total Lipedema Care’s very own Dr. Karen L. Herbst PhD, MD, and Dr. Jaime Schwartz MD, FACS among other lipedema experts.

These guidelines improve the understanding of the loose connective tissue disease, lipedema, to advance our understanding towards early diagnosis, treatments, and ultimately a cure for affected individuals.

Total Lipedema Care is led by Dr. Jaime S. Schwartz, a board-certified plastic surgeon and world-renowned lipedema specialist who has dedicated much of his career to raising awareness for fat disorders (like lipedema) that are highly underdiagnosed and usually misdiagnosed as morbid obesity.
