Preventative Double Mastectomy & Reconstruction Results Update! What I regret from recovery ❤️

In March 2019, at the age of 24, I had a prophylactic bilateral (double) mastectomy UTM (under the muscle) DTI (Direct to Implant) NS (nipple sparing to reduce my risk of breast cancer. I have the BRCA 1 gene mutation and a strong family history. In this video I'm sharing a 1.8 year update after mastectomy! There are a few things I WISH I had done during recovery to help with my results, so I'll be sharing a few recovery recommendations with you.

Overall I am so happy I did this surgery preventatively! My biggest tip is to stay patient during your recovery, it can be a long recovery time! It took a full year for me to really see my results play out. And if you're hoping to start massaging or stretching be sure to ask your plastic surgeon when you can start. You don't want to start too early!
