🌍 GeoAlert – Real-Time Disaster Alert & Response System

In this video, I walk you through GeoAlert, a real-time disaster alert system built with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). This app uses Twilio for SMS notifications, WebSocket (Socket.IO) for real-time updates, and geolocation data to notify users within a specified radius of a disaster event.

Key Features:
Real-Time SMS Alerts: Alerts sent to users based on proximity to disaster events using Twilio.

Geolocation Proximity: Calculates the distance between users and disaster events using the Haversine formula.

WebSocket Updates: Real-time event reporting and notifications using WebSocket.

Disaster Event Management: Users can report disasters, and admins verify them for accuracy.

Responsive UI: Mobile-friendly interface built with React.js and styled with Tailwind CSS.
