VoxCPM is a new artificial intelligence system designed to turn text into highly realistic human speech by solving a common problem in computer voice generation. Older systems often struggled because they had to choose between being stable enough to read long sentences without errors or being detailed enough to sound like a real person, but VoxCPM fixes this by splitting the work into two specific steps. First, a "planning" part of the model figures out the meaning and rhythm of the text to create a steady outline, and then a second "detailing" part fills in the fine sounds and vocal textures that make a voice unique. By training on a massive library of 1.8 million hours of audio, VoxCPM can accurately clone voices and speak naturally in different styles, proving to be one of the best open-source models available for creating lifelike speech.
