Welcome to Movie Shortens. Danny Archer (Leonardo Di Caprio) smuggles diamonds from Sierra Leone into Liberia in exchange for guns and rocket launchers for the rebel army (the RUF). Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) is a nice fisherman whose family was torn apart and forced to mine diamonds for this heinous rebel group. Solomon discovers a massive pink diamond at work one day and tries to hide it nearby. The men embark on a perilous journey through rebel territory with the assistance of an American journalist (Jennifer Connelly) to achieve their goal.
