[HD] - RARE!!! Chasing NS 1072 in Southern California!

Описание к видео [HD] - RARE!!! Chasing NS 1072 in Southern California!

Something interesting has made its way into the LA Basin on Tuesday December 20th, 2016. NS 1072 (The Illinois Terminal Heritage Unit) enters the state California for the first time on this day. Also joined by NS 8887, a C40-9C, and NS 9636, an NS C40-9W, NS 1072 is in charge of a low priority UP K train bound for LATC in Los Angeles, Ca. This will also be the first time NS 1072 has made it all the way to the LA basin without being pulled.

We start the chase in Niland, Ca, about 80 miles or so from Yuma, Az. Yuma is a crew change point for eastbound and westbound UP freight trains. From Niland we follow Highway 111 along the Salton Sea and stopped at various spots such as Bertram, where NS 1072 pulls into a siding behind another intermodal train to wait for an eastbound manifest to clear. After she highballs the chase was back on!!! Other spots includes a Southern Pacific bridge along the Salton Sea, a Southern Pacific cantilever in Mecca, various crossings from Palm Springs to Redlands, and many other sweet spots during this epic chase!!!

Enjoy the video! You will not be disappointed ;)
