6 Volt VW Flywheel? Dune Buggy Project Episode 4

In episode 4 we take note that this buggy was using a 6 volt flywheel and starter on a 12 volt system. We explain with visual aids the differences between a 6 volt and 12 volt Volkswagen beetle flywheel. We also show a VW Bus 6 volt flywheel which takes a 200mm clutch disc rather than the 180mm clutch disc the 6 volt VW beetle takes. A 6 volt Volkswagen flywheel has 109 teeth and a 12 volt flywheel has 130.
After taking a look at flywheels Larry demonstrates how to accurately measure end play at the flywheel with a dial indicator.
