People think the root cause is capitalism but it isn't because if you look in non-capitalist countries you have the same type of situation related to having to pay or owing a debt just to live/from birth.

The state of the world is a direct result of European settlers colonialism. Before capitalism could commodify labor, empire had to establish the metaphysical claim that all existence, land, human life, even time, could be owned.

Non-capitalist countries still sit inside the same imperial architecture as a result of colonializarion, this includes the nation‑state, borders, centralized authority, and control over survival, even when private capital is reduced or removed. What changes is the manager of unfreedom (state, party, military), not the underlying structure of domination.

No one will be free until empire falls completely!
