Natalie Trayling Memorial - The Words that my Daddy once Said

My beautiful and brilliant mother Natalie took her last breath on the 5th of March 2023 while I held her hand by her bedside.

The day we laid her to rest was such a beautiful day. Thank you all so much. For those of you who came to see mum off on the 16th of March 2023, and all of you who watched from near and afar online - and for the wonderful and heartfelt messages on the Virtual Signature Book, and on her Facebook page over the last three weeks before and after mum left us all.

And all of you here on YouTube that have watched and listened to her brilliant music over the last 10 years or so, and those that will - thank you for all of your wonderful insightful, encouraging and beautiful comments.

This is mum’s memorable slide show that was shown at her funeral. The music is a song Natalie wrote sometime in the early 60’s called, “The Words that my Daddy once Said”. It is sung by my friend Robyn Youlten, Chris Scheri on flute, and myself on guitar (thank you so much Robyn and Chris).

Mum once said in an interview when asked how she coped with the death of her two daughters,

“I don’t call it death because death means really that’s it. I don’t feel that they’ve gone – I feel they could be right here now as we’re talking. I’ve never felt they they’ve gone. "Nothing has changed. Just rearranged" "That's what happens with life. You think its gone, but its only just changed"

And that is how I will see, from here on. Mum hasn’t gone, she has just changed.
