Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and rehabilitation

Описание к видео Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and rehabilitation

Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) have problems in the development of motor skills and difficulty in coordinating movements. This makes them less able to perform everyday tasks compared to their peers. Children with DCD are often described as 'clumsy'. DCD is also known as dyspraxia.

With a referral from a doctor, children can come for a screening at the UMCG Center for Rehabilitation in Beatrixoord. After this multidisciplinary screening, it is determined whether the child has DCD.
