ZombiU is a game that was released in 2012 and is a mixture of genres such as survival-horror and first-person shooter, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U.
Earlier, at E3 the game was presented as Killer Freaks From Outer Space and after a while the concept of the game and the name changed to ZombiU.
It was released on November 18 in North America, November 30 in Europe and Australia, and December 8 in Japan.
On August 18, 2015, it was ported to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in a video remaster called ZOMBI.
Unfortunately, the game was not continued because, according to the general director, the game did not make a profit.
This is strange, because I found the game very interesting, and for me personally it is probably one of the best games in the survival horror genre.
The game is nothing special, perhaps for this reason it did not captivate the players.
The standard plot - the player finds himself in a city full of zombies, where he has to go through a long journey to escape from the dead city.
The game has two modes:
Normal mode - The game starts with a randomly generated character, although, as it seems to me, when starting a new game, the character will always be the same, but what is especially interesting and unusual is that if your character dies, then you start playing as another character from the safe zone, and you need to find the deceased character in order to pick up the resources lost after death, and your dead character wanders around in the guise of a zombie, this is a very unusual and interesting idea, it seems to me.
Survival mode - There are more enemies, they have 50% more health and deal 50% more damage, and after the death of the first character, the game ends, you will not be given other characters, only one life.
There are only 2 melee weapons in the game, but there are simply indecently many firearms here, not counting grenades, mines and Molotov cocktails; in general, the arsenal is impressive, although it is worth noting that since this is a survival horror, you will very often experience a lack of resources, and you have to monitor everything very carefully and decide when, where and what weapon is best to use, so as not to get into a hopeless situation and die.
The game also has 3 endings, but they differ only in duration, that is, the better the ending, the longer and more informative the final video will be.
In general, for me personally the game turned out to be incredibly interesting, and I am very sorry that the game did not receive a sequel, although a sequel was in development, but was soon canceled, but this game definitely deserves its place in the library of good games.
As always, despite the presence of voice acting in the game, the notes in the game remained unvoiced, there are a lot of them and they contain a lot of text, most likely I did not collect all the notes, but those notes in the game that I could find, I voiced for your convenience , the voice acting is not professional, moreover, the notes in the game are not signed in any way and sometimes I got confused about what I had already read and what I hadn’t, so I might not have opened some of the notes I picked up.
