LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee number 45596 "Bahamas" took charge of The Buxton Spa Express which ran from Ealing to Buxton and back.
The train was diesel hauled (47746) as far as Barrow Hill, where Bahamas took over the head with the diesel on the rear.
We start with a couple of shots of Bahamas making its way down to Barrow Hill from Keighley, where it has been performing on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. The locomotive ran round its support coach in Sheffield station so it would face the right way for the main train.
We catch the steam hauled express across a beautiful field of purple flowers near Staveley in Derbyshire and then again at Hathersage in The Peak District of Derbyshire.
The return working we also caught at Hathersage, as it crested the steep incline just to the west of the town.
