Shinrin yoku: forest bathing near Bristol, UK

Описание к видео Shinrin yoku: forest bathing near Bristol, UK

Made as part of my practicum to become a certified forest therapist. "Shinrin yoku" means forest bathing in Japanese. It is an established therapeutic technique in Japan and rapidly becoming more popular overseas. I chose my local ancient wood, Leigh Woods, for this solo walk. Forest bathing restores attention and balance by focusing on the breath and the senses, and then being invited to explore movement and establish a relation to the magic of the forest by befriending trees, creating mandalas out of found objects and so on.

I read out The Old Pond, a famous haiku by 17th century Japanese poet, Matsuo Basho

I shot this on my phone. During the edit, I noticed that the audio contains some ASMR elements, which some of you may like.
