A Visit to Walt Disney World in June 1980

Walt Disney World was starting to expand in 1980 with the construction of EPCOT Center, but The Magic Kingdom was still the only park. Disney had added Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but it was still very different from today's resort.

This home movie captures our family vacation to The Magic Kingdom in June 1980. I was only four years old at that time, so it's great to have this footage of such an early trip. The clips include shots of a ride on the Disney Monorail, the Jungle Cruise, Dumbo, and both the Pinocchio and Main Street Electrical Parades. It's a fun glimpse of a different kind of Disney trip!
