Synopsis: Huaiyu and Yingxue gave birth to their daughter, Lemei, in the plum blossom forest with the help of the Ke family. After assisting them, the Ke family decided that it would be great if Lemei were to be engaged with their second son, Qixuan. Both sides of the family gladly agreed to the engagement. However, during the journey to Si'an Village, the families encountered bandits. Unfortunately, Huaiyu, Lemei's father, was killed by Master Ke on accident. Filled with rage and sorrow, Lemei's mother rejected the initial engagement between Lemei and Qixuan. Lemei and Qixuan eventually grew up and encountered each other. They fell deeply in love with one another. Against all odds, Lemei's mother allowed the marriage to happen between the two lovers. Nonetheless, tragedy strikes the Ke household as their manor was burned down. Qixuan became disfigured to the point where he lost the will to live. Per his directions, everyone lied to Lemei that Qixuan died in the fire. But with the love as strong as Lemei's, she still settled with marrying his tablet to honor their love, not knowing that Qixuan was actually alive following her all the time as she resided in the Ke manor.
