NBC has announced that This Is Us will stay put at it’s Tuesday night timeslot after initially announcing that the drama would be moved to Thursday nights. This scheduling twist will allow the show to air up to 10 episodes without interruption from NBC’s TNF coverage.

This Is Us fans: prepare for yet another “twist”!

NBC has announced that they will not relocate the acclaimed drama to Thursdays at 9 PM as they initially suggested. Instead, the breakout series will stay put on Tuesdays at 9 PM for it’s second season.

The initial Thursday night scheduling change-up would have put This Is Us on hiatus after seven weeks to make room for NBC’s Thursday Night Football coverage. The Tuesday time slot will allow the drama to air up to 10 episodes without interruption.

This Is Us will air on Tuesdays following The Voice and ahead of Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders.
