Hux [Hamilton Parody]

For the August 2016 Hux Fest on Tumblr


Included in the parody are various references, not only to Hux's background and actions through out The Force Awakens, but also some of the more popular stories and tropes in the fandom about him. This was a one-woman project that I am quite proud of. I made the video layout reminiscent of the Hamilton lyric-videos floating around YouTube in order to play up the effect of it all.

Dreaming of the stars bowing to him in his reign.

When he rose up to his command, luck be damned, he’s ordered
To build a weapon that would create peace through disorder
But then, ‘fore the man could reap the fruits of his labor.

It crumbled before his eyes, all thanks to a traitor.

Thrown aside like nothing, and like that to the whole world he stayed,
Ignored and abhorred, he would fade, but he heard his name
A voice saying,
“Hux, we love you. Make no mistake.”
They started creatin’ and makin’ worlds just for his sake.

And suddenly, magic, over night
His name was left and right
An emperor with a knight,
Pink hair, a cat, getting teased for his height.
Calling “Ceasefire”, “All That You Love Will Be Carried Away”
Working every single day at the First Order Cafe
Guarding one spoiled prince, teaching his troops aerobics
Discipline for his wife, Mitaka’s losin’ focus
And now look at him, rising with a new plan
