HUDSON — The day is full of events and vendors for the 23rd Annual Hudson Flag Day Parade & Festival.



After the parade, head down to the Waterfront Park for food vendors, along with a monster slide, rides and fun things for both kids and adults. There will be music by DJ Terry Johnson playing at the gazebo from noon-5:30 p.m., taking a break at 5 p.m. for the singing of the National Anthem and presentation of the judges’ parade awards in the following categories: Best Firematic Drum Line, Best Firematic Color Guard, Best Non-Firematic Color Guard, Best Appearing Musical Unit, Most Patriotic, and Best Overall. Then the Side Show Willie band will play from 6–9 p.m. The night ends with a fabulous fireworks display as soon as it’s dark.



Any patrons for Amtrak, including handicapped and VIP parking, will be able to use the Allen Street entrance heading west.

Handicap parking is available in the waterfront area; look for signage.

NO PARKING AREAS

L & B Parking Lot; South Front Street west side until 10 p.m. when fireworks are over; Warren Street from Front to 7th streets south side 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Warren Street north side 600 block 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; North 7th Street west side from Warren to Prison Alley and one parking spot on East side from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Park Place both sides 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Columbia Street south side from North 7th to Park Place 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Green Street both sides from Columbia Street to Route 66 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; South 3rd Street from Warren Street to Allen Street dast side 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

ONE WAY STREETS

Allen Street from South 3rd to Front Street – East to West; Union Street from South Front to South 3rd Street – West to East.

INFORMATION FOR PARADE PARTICIPANTS:

Parade line up is promptly at 12:30 p.m., here are the line up/drop off instructions:

All divisions will drop off and line up at Stewart’s, ALL DIVISIONS will Drop off & line up at Stewart’s, corner of Fairview Avenue and Green Street. All units will be lining up on Green Street.

Drivers of the parade participants may park nearer to the water front and then take the free shuttle service that is available beginning at 1:00 PM and running approximately every 30 minutes from the Amtrak station along the parade route to the drop off locations. Shuttle service will resume after the parade at approximately 4 p.m. If participants arrive late, they may not be able to get to their lineup position; arrive on time.
