Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition - Character Creation Guide

Описание к видео Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition - Character Creation Guide

Welcome to this Character Creation Guide for Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition! I’m so excited to try out this game, you wouldn’t believe it!

The character creation in Planescape Torment is quite different from normal AD&D games, and for that reason it might be a good idea to get familiar with it before you start, so as to know what to expect. Character creation can, at least for me and in Planescape Torment, be antagonising and hard, due to the many aspects there are to think about. In this video I try and break it down into it's basics, and help you create a character that maximises the game's potential while being rather easy to play, thus letting you enjoy the setting of Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition rather than having a hard time :)

I first played Planescape Torment back in 1999, which feels like an age ago (and it surely is, unless you live in the Planescape universe :), and now Beamdog has made an Enhanced Edition of the game. I am all over that! :)

Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition is a technically updated version of the original Planescape Torment, while the story remains the same. There are innumerable bug fixes though, as well as enhanced graphics, new shiny features such as zoom and more enhancements like that. Now the game is available both for PC, and for tablets, which is great for casual play. This first look at enhanced edition planescape uses the pc version though.

Enhanced Edition Planescape: Torment is primarily story-driven and combat is not prominently featured. The protagonist, known as The Nameless One, is an immortal who has lived many lives but has forgotten all about them, even forgetting his own name. Enhanced Edition Planescape focuses on his journey through the city of Sigil and other planes to reclaim his memories of these previous lives. Several characters in the game may join The Nameless One on his journey, and most of these characters have encountered him in the past or have been influenced by his actions in some way.

The original Planescape Torment was made by BioWare in 1999, and had only moderate comercial success. The game itself however was, in my opinion, the peak of BioWare’s Advanced Dungeons and Dragons series. Following the success of Baldur’s Gate Enhanced edition Beamdog have gone and updated Planescape Torment as well, and now, 18 years after the original release, we have Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition in our hands, which feels truly exciting to me.
