After the Eaton Fire swept through the area, this hillside deck sustained significant damage. The homeowners called Alpha Structural for the rebuild.

The initial plan was to replace 15 joists and 2 beams, as the damaged area was contained to a small section of the deck. Thanks to a fire suppression system the homeowners had installed years earlier, much of the structure had been spared. However, during demolition, our team discovered extensive hidden rot throughout the framing, caused by years of plant watering and limited airflow beneath the deck.😬

In the end, the project required 50 new joists and seven 6x10 beams, restoring the deck’s structural integrity and safety.
