Professor Robert Pope is a recipient of the 2009 Gold Medal Laureate for Philosophy of Science, Telesio Galilei Academy of Science, London. He is an Ambassador for the Florentine New Measurement of Humanity Project, University of Florence, is listed in Marquis. Who's Who of the World as an Artist-philosopher, and has received a Decree of Recognition from the American Council of the United Nations University Millennium Project, Australasian Node. As a professional artist, he has held numerous university artist-in-residencies, including Adelaide University, University of Sydney, and the Dorothy Knox Fellowship for Distinguished Persons.

In this Video Robert talks about his ground breaking book The 21st Century Renaissance and the importance of bringing science art & consciousness back together again in order to survive the shift of the ages. Robert Popes work has been said to be one of the most important messages of the 21st century. He has been doing wonderful work and explains eloquently about Davinci, Fibbonacci, Buckminster Fuller & Einstein & even goes to the ties of ancient Egypt mapping what exactly happened, where its all leading and what we can do about. When i met Robert i just knew instantly that i had to interview him, i felt the importance of his work and knew i had a piece of the puzzle to put it in a more conscious perspective. Robert has been most eager to get the word out to take his work and vision to the next level by giving credit to the spirit and the inner child. I'm really proud of this interview because it was very challenging at first he was such a grouchy grizzly bear that turned teddy bear at the end of the interview :) He was not used to people understanding his goal or the science or maybe hold their own in comprehension ability.

ABSTRACT OF THE BOOK, THE 21st CENTURY RENAISSANCE

The Australian National Library Archives record that in 1972 the Art Academy of Western Australia published an Environment Division Newsletter about a project to investigate the widening gulf between the two cultures of Science and Art. This updated the work of the molecular biologist, Sir C P Snow, who, in his 1959 Rede Lecture at Cambridge University, warned that unless this gulf was bridged, civilization would be destroyed because of Western science's obsession with an erroneous concept of the second law of thermodynamics.

In 1973 the Western Australian Government granted a bursary to the artist, Robert Pope, to continue this Science-Art research, which carried his conviction that the research had been greatly advanced by the engineer, Buckminster Fuller, in his book entitled Utopia or Oblivion. The artist realized that Fuller had derived his theories of a synergistic universe from the mathematics of Plato. This was validated fourteen years later in Buckminster Fuller's biography, written by Harvard University's Novartis Professor, Amy Edmondson. In 1979 The Science Unit of Australian National Television documented Pope's theories in their eight part series, The Scientists-Profiles of Discovery.

Fuller's use of the mathematics belonging to the Platonic tradition of Greek philosophy was in keeping with the 15th Century writings of Marcilio Ficino. Cosimo Medici appointed Ficino to direct the re-establishment of Plato's Academy, banished by Justinian at the beginning of the Dark Ages. As a result it related to a world-view that linked the living process to the workings of Plato's infinite universe. Not only was this in defiance of the Einsteinian world-view, but it demonstrated that Leonardo da Vinci was not an integral part of Ficino's Italian Renaissance, as Professor RobertPope has published.
