This compilation is a triumphant representation of how far the Australian hip-hop movement has come in the past ten years. What was once considered a feeble attempt at "American Rap" is now embraced nationwide as an innovative and forward-thinking genre.

The idea of Australian hip-hop artists landing #1 albums, headlining festivals, selling out national tours, going gold, platinum or double platinum was once a laughable premise. But through the hard work and dedication of our home-grown talent, many of whom are featured on this compilation, "Aussie Hip-Hop" is having the last laugh.
