What is Horror? (Myth, Magic, & Movies Ep 1)

Описание к видео What is Horror? (Myth, Magic, & Movies Ep 1)

Happy Halloween, everyone! Today is a special day as this is our inaugural episode of our latest series, "Myth, Magic, and Movies", where we look at films and TV shows through a horror, true crime, fantasy, and mythological lens. And what better way than to kick off the series than by asking the age old question, "What is horror?" And we've assembled a panel of aficionados-- Chris Stonnell, director of Post Mortem Players, Simon Rubinstein, a horror film producer, and Karita Fleming, filmmaker and actress who is working on adapting Stephen King's "The Man Who Loved Flowers". We discuss what is horror, what it means to us, why it's essential for our existence as a means of catharsis, and Karita scares us with tales of lumber trucks and robot police dogs and we end on which movie we'll be watching on All Hallow's Eve.

There will be more episodes coming soon, so subscribe for the latest episode drops. And while you're at it, check out other episodes of the podcast, from reviews and trailer reactions to discussions about Shakespeare.

Note: We apologize for the excessive background noise.
