A partire dagli inizi del V secolo d.C. Ravenna è stata per ben tre volte capitale d'Italia: nelle ultime fasi dell'Impero Romano d'Occidente (402-403), durante il regno dei Goti di Teodorico (493-526), e infine sotto il dominio bizantino (553 - 751).
La magnificenza di quel periodo ha lasciato in città una grande eredità di monumenti: sono ben otto gli edifici dichiarati dall'Unesco Patrimonio dell'Umanità.
Ravenna, inoltre, conserva le spoglie del Padre della Letteratura Italiana Dante Alighieri e ne mantiene viva la memoria durante l’anno con importanti manifestazioni.

Per dormire consiglio B&B Villa Noctis che e' in centro, con parcheggio privato interno e vi consente di visitare a piedi tutta la citta' ..inoltre vi da anche tiket sconto 10% per cena in vari ristoranti. Io ho cenato da "I furfanti" (ho mangiato benissimo)
Accidenti! non volevo pubblicare video su questa vacanza, ma non ho resistito. Ravenna e' una citta' magica e .troppo interessante per non condividere le immagini che ho realizzato solo col mio telefonino Galaxy Z Flip3 5G...con i miei amici e chi mi segue sul canale.

From the beginning of the 5th century AD. Ravenna was the capital of Italy three times: in the last stages of the Western Roman Empire (402-403), during the reign of the Goths of Theodoric (493-526), and finally under the Byzantine rule (553 - 751).
The magnificence of that period has left a great legacy of monuments in the city: eight buildings have been declared World Heritage Sites by Unesco.
Ravenna also preserves the remains of the Father of Italian Literature Dante Alighieri and keeps his memory alive during the year with important events.

To sleep I recommend B&B Villa Noctis which is in the center, with private internal parking and allows you to visit the whole city on foot .. it also gives you 10% discount tickets for dinner in various restaurants. I had dinner at "I scoundrels" (I ate very well)
