A group of anti-capitalist protesters, left, attacked the Cereal Killer Cafe in Brick Lane, east London last night with paint and smoke bombs as a dozen terrified customers and members of staff sheltered inside, top right. According to the Metropolitan Police, the mob formed outside Shoreditch Overground station at 8pm and marched on Brick Lane. The cafe which was opened by Gary Keery and his twin Alan, pictured inset, told MailOnline that they have no intention of 'giving into bullies'. Gary said following last night's attack, his business is busier than ever with people coming down to show support. He said the demonstrators were trying to force out a small, independently owned business which was providing employment for local people. Gary said despite the damage, bottom right, the cafe was back open for business.
