Conformity

Conformity is a type of social influence involving a change in belief or behaviour in order to fit in with a group. It is a process whereby people change their beliefs, attitudes, actions, or perceptions to more closely match those held by groups to which they belong or want to belong. They do so because they desire the approval of the group. Conformity has important social implications.
