Jambo! In today’s video, I’ll be discussing our obsession with genetics when it comes to natural hair growth. A lot of us at some point used to believe that we couldn’t grow long hair because we thought we had bad hair genes. We thought that black people specifically had bad hair genes compared to other races. This is a social conditioning that was instilled in us right from a young age in different ways. The people around us and the media we consumed were some of the biggest perpetuators of this stereotype.
