Michael discusses how you should always be looking at who has the range advantage on the board when deciding whether to bet or check when out of position. This is an important concept to master as it will help you navigate many more situations if you learn how different flops interact with different positions ranges.

When equities of ranges run close between players the solver prefers to use a small bet size and check at a higher frequency. Michael does discuss that checking out of position when you are unsure on the best strategy will generally be the best play that loses the smallest amount of expected value (EV).

Michael also looks at how different turn cards can change the players equities quite drastically, this should alter whether you bet or check on the turn.

Bet sizes are influenced by how much protection your strongest hands require. This means that on draw heavy boards you should opt to use slightly larger bet sizes as your hand becomes much more vulnerable.
