DELICIOUS BEEF TEHARI - QUICK AND EASY

Main Ingredients:
Rice: Chinigura Rice 1 kg
Meat: Beef (cubed) 2 kg
Tehari Masala: 1 kg
Onion: Sliced 2 cup
Garlic & Ginger Paste: 1 tbsp
Cumin powder: 1 tbsp
coriander powder: 1 tbsp
Bay Leaf: 2 to 3
Cinnamon: 2 inch × 2
Cloves: 8 to 10 piece
Cardamom: 10 to 15 piece
Salt: To taste
Mustard Oil: 1 cup
Ghee 1 tbsp
Green Chilli 20 to 25 piece

Method:

Let the cooking pan hot. Add mustard oil and make in smoking hot. After that reduce the heat of burner. Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. After few seconds add sliced onion and fry till golden brown. Add the washed beef, garlic Ginger Paste, 5 to 6 green chilli and salt. Stir fry for 4 to 5 minutes. Colour of beef will be changed. After that Add tehari masala, coriander and cumin powder. Mix it well and fry for another 3 to 4 minutes. Cover the pan and cook in low to medium heat for 15 minutes. After that open the cover and stir. Add some water if required. Cover again. Cook until the beef become soft and gives nice aroma. Uncover the pan and stir well to make the gravy thick. The beef is ready for the next step. Turn off the burner.

In a large cooking pot heat the Residual oil of cooked beef. Add few ghee. Once hot add whole garam masala. Nice aroma will be in the air. After that Add chinigura Rice previously washed, soaked and drained. Add 1 tsp ginger paste and some slice onion. Stir fry in low heat. After 3 to 4 minutes turn off the burner.

In a large cooking pot add double quantity water of rice. Add bay leaf, clove, cardamom and cinnamon. Add two green chilli broken into half. Add salt, Residual gravy of beef and 2 tsp milk powder. Make the water boil. The water should be salty in taste. In the boiling water add the rice and cover the pot. After boiling for 2 minutes in high heat reduce the flame in medium. After the water reduced add the cooked beef and mix it well. Cover the pot. Once the water further reduced, uncover the pot add whole green chilli, 2 tbsp ghee and handful of onion beresta. Cover the pot. Place the pot over a thik tawa and cook in very low flame for 10 minutes. The cooking pot should be deep enough so that there may be 3 to 4 inches gap between led and food. Turn off the burner and let it covered for another 10 minutes. Then uncover the dish. Serve the tehari by gently taking out and mix from upper portion and lower portion proportionately.

Enjoy the delicious tehari with green salad.
