Pictures of my Puma build. I spent 2.5 years building my Puma so that I could experience driving the Bathurst racetrack. I worked with John Karnon tacking the chassis together over the first 4 days, the only time anyone worked with me, before taking it home and spent the remainder of the 2.5 years turning it into a road registered car. They only work I outsourced was the Leather work and the connection of the Car Computer to my wiring. All the welding, sheet metal work, paint, fabrication and design work was done by me.
The car proved to be easily up to the task. Over 250kwts at wheels in a 700kg car meant power was fantastic. Handling was faultless. Brakes were awesome. They car was everything I hoped it would be. I was fortunate to experience 1 lap right behind the Pacecar so I had 1 good look at the view from Skyline. My highlight was the continual braking through 4 corners coming down from Skyline. Top Speed was 244kph down Conrod Straight. Interestingly it did 220Kph up Mountain Straight.
