does your child have auditory processing disorder? Auditory processing is how we make sense of the sounds around us. In this video, we look at this disorder and auditory processing disorder treatment ideas. We also chat about what auditory processing disorder symptoms look like and how this is aligned with the larger sensory processing disorder. Some kiddos experience sensory overload. Occupational therapy assistants and occupational therapists help kiddos feel regulated when this takes place. As a pediatric occupational therapist we study these areas and work with many kiddos who present with challenges in these areas. Sensory integration disorder is becoming more known, and auditory processing disorder (toddler and older) is a part of S.I. disorder. Auditory sensory processing disorder can be overwhelming for parents but with the right information it can be decreased or managed.
