FIRST CLASS BUS Bangkok to Chiang Mai OVERNIGHT BUS - Sombat Tours, Chiang Mai to Pai, VIP Bus

Overnight buses are not new to us (we've been taking two every weekend so we can travel outside of Bangkok and still make it back to work), however this was our first time on this type of VIP first class bus!

We booked this bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai using 12go.asia as, after months of traveling Thailand, we found that's the easiest website to use! The bus was with Sombat Tours (it actually left the Sombat tours station, not MoChit Bus terminal). But what's funny is we couldn't see this bus listed on the Sombat Tours website...only on 12go.asia!

Our goal was to get to Pai, Thailand by taking this fancy VIP bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, then changing to a van to get to Pai. Luckily our bus arrived in Chiang Mai a little early. We had to run across the street from the Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 2 to Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 2. Where a van was about to leave for Pai in 5 minutes! We bought the van tickets for 150 baht each and headed to Pai!
