1st – Arsenal (39 pts) – top at Christmas again after a gritty 1–0 win away at Everton, extending their 11-match unbeaten run this season.

2nd – Manchester City (37 pts) – just two points behind after another 3–0 win over West Ham, their third straight 3–0 league victory in December, part of a seven-game winning streak.

3rd – Aston Villa (36 pts) – three points off Arsenal after a 2–1 win vs Man Utd, making it 10 wins in a row in all comps and 7 straight in the league.

5th – Liverpool (29 pts) – 10 points behind Arsenal, but officially back in the mix as title outsiders after a 2–1 away win at Spurs and an unbeaten run of six in all competitions.

In this Premier League GW17 review stream, we’ll break down how Arsenal, Man City, Aston Villa and Liverpool are shaping the title picture – with fans and creators @IndieKOP @GoalOye @wize0wize bringing their perspectives.

🔴 Arsenal – Top at Christmas (Again)

Result GW17: Everton 0–1 Arsenal – another narrow, “win ugly” performance to stay top. Unbeaten run: Longest in the league this season (11 games).

Key title-race angles:

Can Mikel Arteta finally turn being Christmas No.1 into a title, after missing out when top in 2022 and 2023? Bukayo Saka still decisive in tight games, with Eberechi Eze, Declan Rice and Mikel Merino giving Arsenal one of the strongest midfields in Europe.
