Описание к видео STRANGE MUSEUM OF OTTO OVERBECK

Overbeck's is an Edwardian house and garden at Sharpitor, Salcombe, Devon, England. It is named after its last private owner Otto Christop Joseph Gerhardt Ludwig Overbeck (1860–1937).
Until 2014 the house was divided between a museum and a youth hostel. The youth hostel is now permanently closed.
Overbeck was known as an inventor who developed electrotherapy techniques in the early 20th century. The museum displays of some of his inventions and collections of stuffed animals, model sailing ships and various nautical and shipbuilding tools and effects. A concealed room in the middle of the house contains a display of dolls' houses.
The museum also contains a Polyphon — a large musical box which plays music encoded as holes punched in large sheet-metal discs. There is a collection of discs of popular melodies of the day which are played during opening hours.
Surrounding the house is a sheltered subtropical garden with wonderful views over the estuary.
