Carbon exists in many different places in our environment, dissolved in oceans and lakes, in the biomass of plants and animals, in the atmosphere as CO2, in rocks and soils, and underground as oil, coal, etc. Carbon is constantly exchanged between the different carbon sources and carbon stocks in a process known as the carbon cycle. Carbon is primarily exchanged in the form of CO2, and the carbon stocks are actually stocks that can release and absorb CO2 and reduce its concentration in the atmosphere. Morever, to fulfill the needs of the expanding population, the irrational consumption of the natural resources has also been ever increasing. Deforestation, landslide, unplanned urbanization, industrialization, modernization in agriculture, the changes in the land structures are today's prominent issues.

These human activities have induced the imbalance in natural resources which has caused the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to increase that leads to the increment in the emission of greenhouse gases. The negative effects of the emission of greenhouse gases are already evident in the ozone layer. In the last centuries the terrain temperature of the world has been increasing gradually. As an effect, the productive agricultural land is being destroyed gradually and the wet land and the watershed containing bio-diversity are drying up.

Similarly, the direct impacts of the greenhouse effect are directly evident in the glacier and the high mountainous region. The surface of the ocean is gradually increasing because of the melting of the snow. Consequently, an intricate problem such as climate change has originated. This problem has become a social and a political problem in today’s world. The existence of the organisms and their life cycle has been endangered because of the gradual increase of such intricate problems. Excessive rainfall, draught, arid land, flood, landslide and similar natural disaster are increasing every year.
